What is Biblical Counseling?

We see people from many different walks of life with all kinds of problems. Some of the most common are marriage struggles, parental issues, struggles with sexual brokenness and sin, and those struggling with emotional health such as depression, anxiety, anger, fear or worry... In every case, we use the Bible—God’s complete and sufficient Word—to answer the challenges and issues of life.

We Help with all kinds of Issues.

Biblical counseling is the process where the Bible—God’s Word—is related to people who are struggling with the issues of life and/or sin. This is accomplished by the Holy Spirit using the POWER of God's Word inside the heart to Biblically correct sinful thoughts, speech, and actions.

The goal of Biblical counseling is that the person receiving counseling will experience genuine heart change transformation and be better enabled to live a healthy and whole life that glorifies God.

We Help with all kinds of Issues.

The 3 Key Beliefs

1) We believe that the Bible, because it is given by God, is sufficient for life.

When it is properly read and interpreted, it shows believers all that is needed to understand their need for Christ, how they can please the Lord, and how to live in a

way that honors God, regardless of life circumstances.

2) We believe that the Bible is the authoritative source through which all claims of truth—including those made by history and science—must be evaluated. Because of this,

we reject theories of counseling that use principles and methods that are

inconsistent with the proper interpretation of Scripture.

3) We believe that true heart change is completely dependent on the work of the Holy Spirit through God’s inspired, inerrant, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God.

Our View of Counseling Practice

Our view of counseling practice includes the importance of prayer, dependence on God, a thorough knowledge and application of the word of God, and an understanding of ministering to people.
